Hi all, I'm after some advise about android auto appropriate use, and policies by Google.
I'm working for a company who are looking into developing for the Android Auto platform in order to provide two-way or one-way communication about certain driving information. I can't disclose the details exactly due to NDA, but in a paralleled example I'll describe below, would it be possible to produce this type of application for Android Auto and be approved by Google? I understand what I can do is technically possible having read through the API and submission details, but I can't find information about inappropriate use of the API. Example app information: *During traveling in the car, an app will use the Messaging API provided by Android auto to alert the user when a traffic crash is ahead via an auto message. This message could then be interacted with by a voice reply to change the navigation through the text-feed of the voice reply being processed by the app. This effectively allows a two-way voice feed to and from the application by utilising the Messaging API.* Would this be considered an inappropriate use? Or is this feasible to be approved by Android Auto submission? Any back-up information or possible contact to Google would be great. Thank you. - Chris Android Auto documentation: http://developer.android.com/distribute/googleplay/auto.html -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
