I have what I think is an Android smartphone. When I plug it into my pc and run a project in Android Studio, the device doesn't show as available. Is there anything else I have to do to make the device show? I'm not even sure this device is an Android. That's how new I am to this. I'm looking into purchasing a Nexus 5. I want to be sure I know it will be able to be used to test Android Studio projects before I purchase it.
