Quick Response is Appreciated. *Below are the Position Details:* *Position : Sr. Software Engineer* *with ( Scala , Python ,)* *Location : Colorado* *Duration : 6 month contract * They have 3 Agile development teams on 3 different products Bog monolithic legacy systems they are moving to microservices architecture model o *Refactoring and writing code in Scala* (most people use Scala as a prototyping language – they are using it in production - *Top skills: Java, Scala, Pearl, Python (Scala and Python probably most important but they will be from a Java background) * - More of a focus on functional programming - Must have command line experience in Unix or Linux - *Non-relational database experience with Mongo, SQL or Oracle* - Heavy Agile/Scrum experience – they do two week sprints. - Need good experience with computer networks and application protocols - *Continuous integration with Jenkins or Docker * - Using CA for release automation – CA recently bought Rally so using that most likely. - All internal-client facing work with internal partners and stakeholders Things They Look For Company-Wide in Development: - Industry learning and practice – constantly being up on new technologies and willingness/interest to learn - Paired-programming approach in order to be cross-functional - Automated-testing experience with TDD - Continuous integration/deployment - Commitment to good overall programming and accountability for own work - Collaborative environment – take calculated risks in programming - Living/sustainable documentation – good release notes - Rigorous/regular refactoring – creating better/robust code. - Performing coding reviews and focusing on certain requests - Attitude and willingness to learn.
