The problem with that guide is that it assumes some knowledge of Linux commands that not everyone is going to be familiar with or uses so seldom they forget how they work. Here's a tutorial on how to set the environment variables (something I've had to do rarely on Linux): http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-unix-set-java_home-path-variable/ This is necessary to get the right keytool.
