Hey,
I am using a mediatek device running rooted android 4.4. I am using M2M sim
cards with private APN, private static IP and global roaming plan.
Each of my sim have its own static IP. I can therefore ping them from my
server on the VPN.
But few minutes/hours after boot, devices becomes un-addressable. If I try
to ping it from the server, I got no answer. sometimes it is only after 2
minutes!
The only way to put the device addressable again is to send a packet from
the device to the server

Questions:

   - How can I avoid this?
   - Is is possible to detect that the device is not reachable? If I have a
look at `adb shell netcfg` the device always have an IP, even when it is un
   addressable from outside.
