I was taking a shit earlier today and this revolutionary idea hit me while sitting there. So now I'm bathing in excitement but also a sense of being overwhelmed, like standing at the bottom of a mountain that is about to fall over you.
I have no significant amount of money. I have no experience with app development tools. Although I have learned a few advanced software programs with relative ease before. So if this is possible to make without scripting, I would appreciate you guys recommending a app-development tool. The design is simple, but the content I'm going to put into it is extremely valuable and is just what the world needs more of. Features: - I want it to be only categories/topics (as bars/tabs) listed downwards, sorted by whatever the user wants (popular/newest/age of poster etc). Click into these categories and you see short comments from people listed in these categories. - Comments in these categories can be clicked/expanded to see a longer text. - You can like these comments. report as spam. share to "social media platform" - User: Connect with facebook (let app gather info like age, gender) or create a new account (for those who want to be anonymous) - Need server to store all these texts - Push Notification: Pick random comment in any topic and send to phone's front screen. - This can go viral over night/week. I need servers that can handle that. - What the users write should stand alone, no commenting on their texts, but like and share buttons can be there. - I think I can design it myself, because it's very simple, and the content is made of users. But I need a server to hold all this data and handle all the traffic and new data coming in from users. - What do you think of the non-script app development tools in general? BIGGEST QUESTION: How do I protect my idea? I can't explain this extremely detailed, because I think I'm sitting on jewels here. Does it happen often that bigger resourceful companies steal ideas of individuals or small companies? When it's released, is there a way to copyright it?
