The first thing to know about this Microstrategy version 10 is that it contains an essential piece called Desktop. For those coming from previous software generations (7, 8 or 9) MicroStrategy Desktop was the tool that was used to create the metadata and reports on a Windows (PC only) environment. From version 9.3 Desktop was renamed *Developer*. So don’t be confused with the new name.
