*Role                       :              Sr. SQL DBA
Location               :              Cincinnati, OH
Duration              :              6+ Months Interview

*Have to be onsite* ,
*Work hrs – 7.30 Am – 4.30 AM The team consist of 7 DBA’s and will have to
be on rotation to cover weekend and night shifts ( M-F – 5-11PM, Sat and
Sunday – 8 Am-11PM)*

*Must Have*

·         SQL DBA Level 3

·         5+ Years of experience – SQL 2005, 2008 (currently using)

·         Will be upgrading to SQL 2012, 2014 and 2016. Will need to have
exp/knowledge of these versions

·         This is an Admin role, Need experience with Space objects,
Backups and troubleshooting performance issues

·         DO NOT REQUIRE Candidates with application development
background. (They are not allowed to change the original code)

*Job Requirement*

·         We need at least >= 5 years of experience and he/she has to run
the task independently once the direction is given.

·         SQLServer 2005, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, and 2014
experience

·         High level knowledge of SQLServer 2016

·         Installation, configuration and upgrading of SQLServer server
software and related products.

·         Evaluate SQLServer features and SQLServer related products.

·         Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and
procedures.

·         Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain
users and roles, assign privileges).

·         Perform database tuning and performance
monitoring.

·         Perform application tuning and performance
monitoring.

·         Setup and maintain documentation and standards.

·         Plan growth and changes (capacity planning).

·         Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support, when
required.

·         Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation
to development teams.

·         Interface with MicroSoft for technical support.

·         Good understanding of the SQLServer database, related utilities
and tools.

·         A good understanding of the underlying operating system.

·         A good knowledge of the physical database design.

·         Ability to perform both SQLServer and operating system
performance tuning and monitoring.

·         Knowledge of ALL SQLServer backup and recovery scenarios.

·         A good knowledge of SQLServer security management.

·         A good knowledge of how SQLServer acquires and manages resources.
(Locking)

·         A good knowledge SQLServer data integrity.

·         Sound knowledge of the implemented application systems.
Nice to Have

·         Experience in code migration, database change management and data
management through the various stages of the development life
cycle.

·         A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning.

·         Should have sound communication skills with management,
development teams, vendors and systems administrators.

·         Should have the ability to handle multiple projects and
deadlines.

·         Setting and tuning system parameters.

·         Tuning the operating system, network, and transaction processors
to work with the database.

·         Enabling the database to work with storage devices and storage
management software.

·         Interfacing with any other technologies required by database
applications.

·         Installing third-party DBA tools.

·         Hands on experience with SQLServer monitoring
