*Location : SFO,CA* *Type of job : Contract* Job Description : * You’ll be directly responsible for the design, development, maintenance and operation of the customer metric services. * Balance the maintenance, and continued development of high throughput production services with the principles of simplicity, and the words “highly available.” * Designing and implementing solutions to help customers get insights into their app’s operational performance and assist them in their operational needs * Work with other teams to meet their goals with the help of our tooling and services * Develop backend services in the Go programming language running on the Heroku platform * Help the team understand bottlenecks, operational deficiencies, and performance problems, both in application code and database use; and propose and lead corrections. * Participate in on-call rotation for the services you operate. * Set the bar higher for our standards of engineering excellence by championing best practices in programming, testing and deployments. *Key capabilities : * * Experience operating large systems at scale * Hands-on experience with distributed data platforms such as Cassandra and Redis * Worked with stream/data processing services like Kafka or Kinesis * Disciplined approach to development, including documentation, code reviews and testing * An understanding of when invention is better than adoption * An understanding of when simple solutions (i.e. shell commands like AWK) are OK * Strong analytical and communication skills * Works effectively as a member of a distributed team *Bonus points for: * * Experience analyzing large data sets, including pattern detection and predictive analytics * Experience in applying machine learning algorithms (e.g. clustering, regression, classification, feature extraction) and techniques to real world data at scale. * Front end experience with Ember, Node.js, and HTML5/CSS * Understanding of AWS services specifically EC2, EBS, DynamoDB *Thanks,* *Ranjan* ------------------------------ *Staffing|Consulting|Outsourcing* *Jacksonville, FL* Phone: +1 (904) 267-0727 | Fax: +1 (608)646-8326 E-mail: [email protected] |Web:www.nlbservices.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
