Role : DevOps Engineer/ Sr. Performance role Location : Pasadena, CA Duration : 6+ Months Interview : Phone and F2F No EAD-OPT candidates *Resonsibilities* • Hands-on performance scripts development using HP LoadRunner • Ability to write/read C/Java code • Ability to write custom logic, custom web submit requests, string manipulations in HP LoadRunner using C and javascript • Hands-on experience with AJAX TruClient protocol is a big plus • Solid Performance tuning and profiling skills in Java applications: Heap/Memory analysis, Threads management, Garbage collection etc using Profiling tools such a JProfiler, YourKit etc. (Ability to analyze applications logs including heap dumps/thread dumps and isolate the performance problems) • Good understanding of Databases : Oracle and MongoDB • Experience performance testing/tuning/architecting Enterprise Java applications with Rich UI • Prior experience/knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP • Some understanding/expereince on Javascript and related stack such as Angularjs • Good communication and time management skills Performance engineering team is a critical DevOps function that focuses on delivering high performing and scalable applications to our clients in a very fast paced agile environment Hands-on performance scripts development of complex business applications using HP LoadRunner in various Protocols including but not limited to HTTP/HTML, AJAX Tru Client, WebServices and SAP GUI • Develop custom utilities and programs in C or Java to support performance scripting • Design workloads and scenarios that are appropriate to measure the performance and scalability of our applications • Measure various aspect of the system performance, including throughput, response times, resource usage such as CPU, memory and IO statistics • Analyze performance metrics to determine cause of performance regressions and identify areas for performance optimizations • Automate the tracking and publishing of Performance results across software builds and releases to ensure high quality releases • Utilize Performance testing and analysis results to strengthen our application performance monitoring strategy with a focus on high risk and volume areas • Demonstrate ownership and accountability in work assignments. Be resourceful and collaborate with respective teams to quickly solve performance and scalability challenges • Partner with architects and suggest performance best practices • Demonstrate a technical aptitude to do a deep-dive into problem areas and contribute to redesigns that are faster, cleaner, and require less maintenance *ABOUT YOU* • Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering • Minimum 5 years of experience in performance engineering, testing and profiling of high volume applications • At least 3+ years of total experience as a hands-on C or java developer • Expert in following Performance Testing tools: HP Performance Center, LoadRunner and JMeter • Hands-on performance analysis of resource utilization, saturation, stack trace analysis etc. using one of the following profiling tools: YourKit or JProfiler • Strong knowledge and analysis skills in at least 1 of the of the following APM tools: CA Wily Introscope and Splunk • Experience with performance tuning and benchmarking J2EE and AngularJs applications • Knowledge of following databases: Oracle, MongoDB, DB2 • Prior experience or knowledge in performance testing MuleSoft applications • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Excellent programming knowledge of C or Java required.
