The job description below is very detailed but overall this position simply boils down to the manager looking for a seasoned Business System Analyst who is very familiar and has years of experience in *Data Warehousing*. *Big data* is a nice to have but a not a must have. The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) role in Global Data Technology (GDT) at Schwab is primarily responsible for being the information conduit between business product owners and ETL development resources. This requires an ability to elicit and refine requirements with business participants, assess the existing GDT data assets, identify the impact from the current requirements, and design an effective implementation framework to address those requirements. As a result, candidates must be articulate, demonstrating a proven ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and concisely, applying these abilities as they articulate technical requirements to non-technical audiences, and vice-versa. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to work across the full span of data warehouse components, eliciting information and refining understanding until the needs of the business are clearly articulated and answered by the solution designed. Implicit in this is the ability to analyze scenarios, driving to understanding of root issues, performing causal assessment, and synthesizing this information into solution designs targeted at answering the issue.
