We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join the Information Management Solutions (IMS) division which has been offering data and insight solutions to the Consumer Package Goods industry since the early 1980s. *Responsibilities:* · Develop Oracle PL/SQL programs which are tightly integrated with ASP and ASP.NET applications · Participate in the day-to-day creative decision making about the future of our core applications · Make significant enhancements to our base application and provide customized client specific solutions · Analyze business system requirements and design technical solutions based on those requirements · Design, document and program both products and custom solutions · Assist in development of test scripts, product builds and installation programs · Support of existing programs and modules from both debugging and enhancement perspectives · Participate in code reviews and extensive unit testing · Writing technical documents as part of established methodology · Design, implement and support databases using Oracle DBMS · Designs, installs, and maintains complex functions of database system including access, allocations, validity checks, security, documentation and statistical methodology · Integrates various systems through the database system · Conducts complex backup, recovery and query tuning · Builds compliant databases, writing scripts in SQL, OS commands · Coordinate moderately sized database projects · Write functional and technical specification documents *Required Skills:* · Must enjoy the challenges and rewards of an interactive small group setting with a growing client base · Four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience · Minimum of two years of PL/SQL programming experience · In-depth working knowledge of C++ and application performance · Understands complex and advanced database concepts · Ability to perform basic to moderately complex DBA tasks (e.g.: create databases using moderately complex structures; ensure data security and integrity; generate moderately complex database migrations) · Considers business aspects of technical problems · Previous involvement in development of new business areas · Understanding of Multi-tiered application development/deployment as it relates to the Internet · Proactive and preventive in problem solving · Ability to write UNIX scripts and has an understanding of the UNIX architecture · Can write backup and restore scripts and design a backup strategy · Experience monitoring and performance tuning databases · Must be able to coordinate and participate in large database projects · Experience in OLAP and Data Warehousing database architectures a plus · Experience with SQL Server a plus -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
