*Responsibilities:*
- Participates in requirements gathering, analysis and design. Analyzes
and assists in system data architecting. Under the direction of business
analysts, solution architects, and application designers, ensures the
designs are consistent and coherent to the enterprise architecture
standards and existing system environment. Assures the integrity and
accuracy of the corporate data, with particular attention to data security.
- Responsible for the implementation of data warehouse projects and
enhancements. Design, develop, and deploy MicroStrategy objects across
different environments. Maintains accurate and up-to-current data
dictionaries. Maintains accurate and up-to-current system design
documentation.
- As a Database Designer, participates in database programming and data
extraction, transformation, and loading mechanism construction for custom
applications or enhancements to systems.
- Mentors and provides technical guidance to junior MicroStrategy
developers. Assists in defining and implementing MicroStrategy Best
Practice.
*Requirements:*
- 5+ Years hands-on BI application development experience with at least
3 years performing MicroStrategy Report development
- Experience working within Big Data
- Experience working with a Pharmaceutical domain
- Experience in requirement analysis, system design and implementation
of sophisticated software applications
- Extensive experience in performing data modeling including relational
and dimensional, logical and physical database design for large scale
database systems
- Having solid technical background in MicroStrategy and extensive
experience in developing BI solutions, specifically
- Proficient in MicroStrategy Dashboards
- Proficient in MicroStrategy Public Objects and Report writing
- Proficient in MicroStrategy Schema Objects
- Proficient in MicroStrategy performance tuning
- Proficient in MicroStrategy Administration Tools
- Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL programming
- Proficient in Oracle and SQL Server databases
- Hands-on experience in Data Warehousing ETL, particularly using
Informatica (not required)
- Hands-on experience in performance tuning of PL/SQL
- Hands-on knowledge in XML parsing
- Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to learn new software engineering techniques quickly and
independently
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills, attention to details
- Good understanding of software processes like Agile methodology .
