Cloud Engineer (Python & Micro services)* *Location: Westborough, MA* *Duration :6+ Months/Full Time* *Interview: Phone than Skype* *Must have skills (and no DevOps)* · *Expert knowledge of cloud coding languages such as Python* · *Developing, deploying and maintaining production web applications and/ or web API services* · *Develop micro services on cloud* · *Cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services preferred)* *Job Description: * - Develop micro services on cloud to onboard new 3rd party services. - Design and develop REST APIs to expand functionality. - Work with platform architects on software and system optimizations, helping to identify and remove potential performance bottlenecks. - Create productivity tools for third-party developers to self-service their own integrated solutions. - Work with other software leads on developing production automation and unit test automation. - Stay up to date on relevant technologies, plug into user groups and understand trends, opportunities that ensure we are using the best techniques and tools. - Document the work you do, especially APIs that you create. *Qualifications (demonstrated Competence): * - Expert knowledge of cloud coding languages such as Python. - Experience with cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services preferred). - Experience with API design/documentation tools such as RAML and Swagger/OpenAPI. - Hands on experience using and developing REST APIs. - Cloud-based distributed application scaling & data processing in the cloud. - Agile software development methodology. *Highly Desirable but not required skills include: * - Knowledge of automation tools such as Jenkins. - Experience with Docker. - Experience with Apigee or AWS API Gateway. - Embedded/Cloud IoT application development a plus. *Experience: * - 5 or more years working in software development. - 2+ years developing, deploying and maintaining production web applications and/ or web API services. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent. - Master’s degree desired.
