No H1B New requirement for 2 System Administrator/Engineers in Rockville MD. Start asap for 4 months with an excellent chance of extension (as June is end of their fiscal year). Local to Rockville is preferred. And must have perfect written and verbal communication skills. *Scope of PSDS Work: * This is a specialized role with immediate focus on the development of tools for system administration and monitoring of the Public Safety Data Systems (PSDS) applications and infrastructure, including: • application integration into real time reporting of metrics and alerts • administrative database development • configuration management tool development and support • system monitoring tool configuration and support • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data conversions • data extraction and conversion for records management system reporting The consultant will work directly with operations staff and follow prescribed deployment and operations methods for critical 911 systems administration following established Change Management practices. The consultant will provide advanced systems programming and technical expertise in developing tools to manage, monitor, and maintain servers that provide support to the Public Safety infrastructure; and facilitating knowledge transfer. This scope of work will require some after hours and weekend work, and physical installations of servers and workstations.
