*Position: Data Quality Engineer (Java with Hadoop)* *Location:** Philadelphia, PA * *Duration: 6 Months+* *Job Description**:* Develop and execute automated and performance based data quality testing in a Big Data environment to enable delivery of high-quality software products per specifications. Responsible for developing and executing code that will validate data quality for the streaming data pipeline and building out dashboards and visualizations to better monitor data quality. This position works with management to apply automation strategy and to plan and execute effective and efficient performance and automation testing to accomplish on-time and efficient delivery of high-quality software products and/or data in a Big Data environment. · Working with data producers, project managers, technical leads, and subject matter experts. · Report issues and results, researching and identifying root causes as appropriate, documenting accordingly. · Research available tools and participate in initiatives to enhance testing capabilities and data quality · Identify opportunities to apply existing automation or other tools to meet testing needs. *Job Description/Responsibilities**: * · Establish milestones and monitor adherence to plans and schedules, identify delivery risks, and obtain/drive mitigation strategies and solutions · Test cases, Use cases, Python scripting for Java middleware development, Rest, Json, Jenkins, Splunk, Swagger · Define and execute relevant business scenarios to satisfy real-world business needs. · Define and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status. · Collect and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the needs of the business. · Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications.
