We have an immediate opening for the below position, kindly let me know your interest with your updated resume at *[email protected]* <[email protected]>. *No h1b PLEASE* *SQL DBA* *Location: Melville, New York* *Duration: 12+ months* *Interview: Skype* *Position Functions or Responsibilities: * As a SQL Server DBA your day to day tasks involve : - Incident & Problem Management - User Requests and Issues management - Perform data migration, and redaction utilizing approved tools and process - Monitor database for growth and respond to any application issues - Develop capacity model based on requirements - Identify and recommend changes to poorly performing SQL to the application developers, object statistics gathering, data level migration, schedule application jobs to perform data housekeeping and maintenance - Review and recommend efficiencies in application design as it relates to the operationalization of the applications. - Define, maintain and implement database infrastructure level standards (naming, coding, security, SQL, databases objects). - Provide feedback sessions to application users concerning database design. - Design indexing, referential integrity, constraints, data types, database objects (tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers). - Maintain logical data models. - Provide logical/application database subject matter expert. - Work with application teams to define database object referential integrity. - Assist with the implementation of database implementations of scripted application codes. - Design physical database architecture (layout, distribution, placement). - Maintain physical models. - Maintain physical database documentation (instances, servers, databases). - Define database server connectivity configuration. - Define application and client server connectivity configuration. - Create and maintain physical database build scripts. - Execute physical data base build scripts.
