Role: SAS Developer

*Job Description: *
· Bachelor’s degree in IT/MIS with a minimum of 5 years progressive
experience in Information Technology.
· Must have at least 3 years of in-depth experience with SAS.
· *Intermediate understanding of client/server infrastructure.*
· Experience in the handling of multiple file types, such as
EBCIDIC and ASCII.
· Produce technical specifications and test plans/test scripts.
· Be able to effectively and professionally communicate with the
Finance Actuarial Department to identify and obtain requirements for
financial reporting.
· Basic knowledge on the subject of extract, transformation and
load techniques.
· Experience in development of project documentation, testing
materials and execution, training materials, requirements gathering
including downstream and upstream interface requirements.
· Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of
applications and possess the capability of producing professional-looking
documentation and flowcharts.
· Strong analytical background is required.
· Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle is expected.
· Nice to have, but not necessary:
- A basic, functional understanding of the Mainframe Environment and the
ability to work within it with minimal learning curve; inclusive but not
limited to JCL, TSO and FTP technologies.
- Knowledge of basic actuarial valuation standards and processes
*Duties and Responsibilities*
· Must be capable of modifying or enhancing applications in
accordance with business requirements.
· Document all modifications, enhancements and analysis.
· Prepare definition of functional problems and make
recommendations for enhancements or modifications to deliver solutions.
· Produce technical specifications and test plans/test scripts.
