Zip Code :43219 City :Columbus State :OH *Required Skills :* DataStage Admin and Unix or Informatica Admin and AIX *Brief Description:* • This position supports Info Sphere Data Stage capability as part of the Enterprise Information Management Department in IT. • The position will have responsible for maintaining the Info Sphere environment primarily for the Data Stage (ETL) technology stack, including; product upgrades & maintenance, data cycles, change control, code & configuration promotion, performance management, administrative support, system access control support, build & release support and supporting audit practices. • Works with offshore Support when problems involve Data Stage Application and Mainframe Unix Server issues. • Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues • Publishes Datastage development standards and best practices • Assists with 2nd level production issues and work directly with vendor on patching and problem records. • Maintain regular environment monitoring processes and procedures. *Normal Admin Activities include:* • Conduct release reviews for ETL production changes. • Assist in ETL audit process using data from the Operations Console or other sources. • Monitor progress of all ETL project related requests against specified application requirements and in accordance with a regular Production release schedule. • Maintain the overall health of the environments, Development, QA to Production. • Conducts bi-Annual Access Reviews. • Plan, schedule and install upgrades and fix packs for all environments. • Proactively monitors and recommends related performance management solutions. • Assists other administrators/engineers with hardware upgrades on ETL Server or other supporting environments. • Administrative knowledge to support other InfoSphere products added to the same stack, such as; Information Analyzer, FastTrack, Business Glossary, etc. • Adhere to information security, compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies. • Coordinate yearly Disaster Recovery effort. *Basic Qualifications:* • Bachelor's degree • 5+ years of experience with any ETL tool • 3 plus years as a Data Stage Admin on UNIX • Minimum 3 years of experience with UNIX shell scripting *Preferred Qualifications:* • Experience with Data Stage upgrades 8.x to 10.x or 11.x • Experience in maintaining parameter sets at the enterprise level in Data Stage • Strong experience implementing and maintaining business and technical rules • Knowledge of SQL and at least one relational database platform (Oracle, DB2, SQL) • Experience with reference data and concepts of master data management • Exposure to one or more of the following data specialties: ETL, Data Architecture or Data Quality • Strong interpersonal skills are needed to collaborate with end users, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Developers and Operations teams • Experience with automation of ETL code migration process and standards • Experience in appropriately sizing UNIX servers for Datastage projects • Good understanding of Data Quality and Governance • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies -- *Ian Elijah* *Sr. IT Recriter * *Waynsys Inc* *(MWBE Certified)* *Direct: 732-733-4463* *www.waynsys.com* <http://www.waynsys.com/> *(eVerified) * Disclaimer: We respect your online privacy.
