*Looking for Sr Salesforce Developer in Boston, MA* *Job: Senior Salesforce Developer* Location: Boston, MA *Visa: USC or GC only * Can do C2C for 6 months, then must convert full time with the client after that for no fee *Interview: Phone/Skype* *JOB SUMMARY:* The primary objective of the job family is to establish the systems architecture and perform the design and development activities for scalable, high-performing, flexible, and reliable technical solutions using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies. These roles contribute to the success and position the Company to meet its strategic objectives by: • providing technical solutions that enable the client to successfully maintain business operations; • automating critical business functions and creating administrative and process efficiencies through technology; • enhancing existing technologies to increase performance capabilities and meet changing business needs; and, • ensuring that enterprise data, applications, and services are fully aligned with business and operational goals. Applies knowledge of programming techniques and development technologies to build software components that perform in accordance with the design specifications and architecture standards. *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* (in order of importance)* • Manage daily support and maintenance of internal Salesforce instance, and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements • Hands-on design and architect of custom solutions on the force.com platform including significant work in Apex, VisualForce, SOQL, and application integration patterns. • Analyze highly complex requirements, provide coding direction to other Salesforce developers and develop high quality code with supporting unit test and automation tests • Administer, customize and configure Salesforce features including but not limited to Profiles, Roles, Users, Page Layouts, Workflows, Reports, Dashboards, Objects, Fields, Record Types, Validation Rules, etc. • Participate and contribute to all phases of SDLC from planning to stabilization • Communicate with project managers, clients and other developers to design cohesive project strategies and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment • Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives, and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully • Creates technical designs that implement platform solutions and, when applicable, ensures the platform solution is in agreement with the total solution architecture. • Performs reviews of platform deliverables • Authors component detailed designs in accordance with solution architecture, enterprise and technology principles and standards. • Provides input to Solution Architects that define the capabilities of the platform • Codes components of significant complexity based upon the assigned technical design. • Follows SDLC methodologies in performance of all development activities, including design, development, test and quality assurance support. • Specializes in a specific development platform with awareness of impact on surrounding platforms. • Performs production support activities. • Produces required system documentation for all assignments. • Complies with departmental quality assurance, audit, design and code review standards – CMMI. • Participates in and contributes to technical requirements, operational support documentation, and design work. • Serves as technical mentor and reviewer as assigned. *EDUCATION: (Minimum education required)* • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information science, management information systems, or equivalent field • Masters preferred *• Certified Salesforce developer or other Salesforce.com certifications* *EXPERIENCE: (Years of experience)* • 7+ years of Salesforce Development experience *• Must have an In-depth understanding of Salesforce.com's Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Force.com and Lightening product offerings.* *• Must have strong custom development experience* *• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in handling multiple system integration projects with programming knowledge such as Java, C#, PHP and/or APEX preferred* *SKILL REQUIREMENTS: (Include interpersonal skills)* • Fully competent in all core communication skills described for the Developer as a result of professional experience and development activities. • Communications are polished, concise, proactive, timely, and appropriate for the knowledge and expertise with colleagues and playing an active role in developing technical expertise in colleagues. • Has developed judgment and analytical skills through experience, proactively asks the relevant questions to clarify work instruction or to analyze an issue. • Proactively proposes solutions when escalating issues. • Multiple SDLC methodologies, especially SAFe Agile. • Flexibility to adapt to any applicable development methodology. • Data modeling • Significant knowledge of Salesforce platform intricacies • Deep understanding of Visualforce, SFDC APEX, SQL/SOQL, XML, HTML, Eclipse, Java, Javascript, SOAP and REST techniques, SVN, and change sets • Vlocity experience preferred • Strong understanding of project management and software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies using SAFe Agile WORKING CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel, overtime) • May require occasional weekend work as deadlines
