Centene currently provides a service to all of their health plans to provide real time authorization for patients needing treatment. However, Centene provides this service to their health plans today by partnership with 2-3 third party vendors who access/retrieve this information for them – thus slowing down the exchange of information. This project will eliminate the third parties and allow Centene to directly connect and provide this authorization information to health plans, thus expediting the authorization exchange.
