*Client:* Citizens Property Insurance *LOCATION*: Jacksonville, FL *ASSIGNMENT LENGTH*: 6 months - Now thru April 2020 (this role has the potential to extend for entire year of 2020) Visa: Any except H1B. Interview Mode: Phone & Video. *POSITION SUMMARY: -* This position is focused at implementation of developing analytical solutions using Big Data technologies. *Responsibility* - Lead detailed technical design, development and implementation of Big Data applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. - Act as a technical lead for Big Data development projects that utilize big data skills to define and develop high-performance, cutting edge solutions - Extensive hands on experience in coding, designing, developing and maintaining software solutions in Hadoop ecosystem. - Must have hands on experience with NoSQL databases like HBASE, Mongo or Cassandra. - Must have hands on experience with developing Pig scripts / Hive QL, UDF (User-Defined Function) for the analysis of unstructured, semi-structured and structured data flows. - Must have experience in analyzing data using Hadoop Ecosystem including HDFS, Hive, Spark, Spark Streaming, Elastic Search, Kibana, Kafka, HBase, Zookeeper, PIG, Sqoop and Flume. - Familiarity with Relational and Dimensional Data modeling for creating Logical and Physical Design of Database and ER Diagrams with all related entities and relationship with each entity based on the rules provided by the business - Working knowledge of On-Prem Big Data installation and cloud migration - Awareness about AWS and Azure platform such as Azure HDInsight, Azure Data Lake, AWS Redshift *REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:* - 4 + years of hands-on experience in Hadoop, Spark, Hive and other related technologies - 5+ years of experience in Java, Scala, or Python - 4+ years of experience in Kafka and web services. - Certification in Hadoop and/or Spark - Familiarity with Guidewire Insurance Suite.
