*Title: BI Developer (SSRS/SSIS )* *Duration: 6 months project * *Location: Irvine, CA 92612 * Must Have: Good communication skills – duties include interfacing with the business and stakeholders Client job intake call notes: SSRS with ideally Power BI - creating reports SSIS - ETL process ideally creating reports for Accounting and Finance departments in any business sector including banking. Write SQL queries and stored procedures Good comm skills - a plus if ever worked with the business This project is to help with their BI Integration efforts This is a combo of SSRS and SSIS. Will create reports with SSRS and Power BI and use SSIS for the ETL process. The business could be the auto finance division as well as accounting and finance departments. Business Intelligence Developer Summary The Business Intelligence Developer is mainly responsible for designing and developing reports, scorecards, and dashboards using BI tools including SSRS and Power BI. This role will also be responsible for developing the ETL Integration Services packages, SQL scripts, and stored procedures needed to produce reporting from the Enterprise Data Warehouse. This developer will have expertise in SSRS, Power BI, and SQL stored procedure development. This person will play a key role on the BI team and will consistently deliver high-quality deliverables with careful attention to detail. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Create reports, dashboards, and scorecards using SSRS / Power BI. * Translate business reporting requirements into a production reporting solution. * Design, develop, and maintain complex SSIS and T-SQL based ETL processes. * Design, develop, and conduct performance tuning of effective data routines such as stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions. * Implements best practices for ETL job scheduling and ETL package dependencies. * Provides technical expertise in building large-scale data warehouse and data integration projects. * Work collaboratively in a small, cross-functional team. * Performs troubleshooting and analysis to assess root cause of data issues. Qualifications * Minimum 4 years of experience in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and advanced SQL stored procedure development. * Minimum 4 years of T-SQL programming experience. * Solid experience in developing ETL to populate enterprise data warehouses (Kimball/star schemas/data marts) preferred * Experience working in Finance, Banking, Accounting, or related industry highly preferred * Ability to work well in a team environment and brainstorm with other developers on ideas, data flow, and ETL design strategies * Experience in Power BI report and dashboard development * Strong technical, logical, analytical, and problem solving skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
