Job Description:
We are looking for a SQL BI Developer with at least 5+ years of IT
experience.
1. Technical Skills:
a. SQL
b. Cognos
c. MS Access
d. VB Script
e. WebFocus (Nice to have, but not required)
f. DB Skills
g. MS Excel
h. Communication
2. Objective of position:
a. Review and learn reporting – We have an inventory of scripts and
the scripts for each report
b. Understand our data used for reporting
i. Reports
may include but not limited to reports on Insurance policy data, business
trends, application statistics and sales reporting for agents and producers.
c. Create new or modify existing reports to meet business needs
d. Translating business requests into necessary reporting using SQL,
WebFocus, Cognos or VB Scripts.
e. Prod Support for existing reporting and day to day operations for
reporting to support the business.
f. Candidate will be working directly with the business and IT
teams. Communication skills are important.
g. Ability to work independently to understand the reporting we have
today
h. Pull other team members within IT and the business together to get
up to speed and prioritize reporting needs.
i. Transition knowledge to other teams
