Position : DATA Analyst Location : Schaumburg, IL Duration : 12month Interview : Phone and Skype *Rate : $45/hr* *VISA : GC, GC EAD or USC only* • The team is running a global project of a big automation of their processes. They need someone that can come in and run day to day functions and the modeling work. • Must have a background in Math, Statistics, Finance, etc. would translate well. Educational background is pretty important . • *SQL is the database skill that the team uses and would be helpful. * • This person can be fully remote sitting anywhere in the country. • Data visualization experience is NOT required. It’s a nice to have skill. • *Must be eager to learn more about Data Modeling, working with Data, doing Data Analysis. This person does not have to have a lot of experience.* • Insurance experience, background will be helpful to have and will be a home run. • *A glorified SQL Data Analyst/Data Scientist with Insurance background will be great! Or someone who has worked on CAT modeling in the insurance space* • Prefers a mid level candidate, not too junior and not too senior. Key Accountabilities: • *Calculates catastrophe exposure for all countries business segments and/or perils within responsibility assigned* • Validates data received from business segments and interprets best fit for catastrophe modelling. Provides expert guidance to countries and equips countries to improve exposure data quality Conducts corrections in case of exposure data quality issues with material impact on group level • Tracking and understanding shifts in cat portfolios for assigned business segment and/or peril, and reporting and communicating peril accumulations to business segment and/or senior management in the frequency required • Participate in projects for research, experience studies and other statistical analyses • Responding to requests from other functions (e.g. Group Risk Management, Group Reinsurance). • Completes requests from regulators and rating agencies Must-Have's: • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Meteorology or Natural Sciences and 2 or more years of experience in the analytical area OR • Master’s degree in finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Meteorology or Natural Sciences and 0 or more years of experience in the analytical area AND • Knowledge of Programming languages(s) such as SQL.
