*Position :   Window System Admin*

*Location :  Arden Hills.MN- 55126 ( Day 1 onsite )*





Primary Responsibilities:

On premise needs include:

·   *Fix or replace remote site servers with spare from shelf in AH DC*

·   *Datacenter access for taking care of equipment and parts re-seating or
replacement activities including:*

o *Hard drives, CPU, Memory, NIC, HBA’s, Network cables.*

·   *Datacenter inventory audits*

·   *Knowledge and verification of inventory on hand*

·   *Very well skilled Hands, Eyes, and Feet for remote staff*

·   *Delivery and Shipments of equipment*

·   *In person check of system indicators (amber lights, alarms) as needed.*

·   *Eyes and hands on printers & Condeco panels (after patch cleanup)*

·   *Benefit from in-person interaction creating a bond/trust*

Other Tasks

·   *Routine software install/updates/upgrades* including quarterly updates

o Tax tables

o FAS

o DNA

o Laserpro

o Vizya

·   DNS Cleanups – removing old host names

·   Printer setups

·   DSI support

·   Shared PC setup

·   Onshore lead for Windows Server Support.

o Able to take escalation when offshore is unable to resolve issues

·   Knowledge and tasks related to* SCOM* monitoring, Ivanti patching,
Simplivity health checks.

·   Vendor escalation

·   Server Restores – Avamar & Simplivity

·   Post patch cleanup – cycle through systems to ensure services are
running and field any open issues that are reported.

·   Virtual walkthroughs of needed services

o Each morning Rick looks at Citrix, VMware, DC’s to ensure all is
healthy.  This is in addition to what monitoring does.

o Catches service health issues before they become incidents.

·   All other hardware issues related to Windows and ESXi



Rick is strong in troubleshooting these key areas:

·   Domain Controllers

·   VMware / Server

·   Citrix Logins / Application availability

·   Routing tickets to appropriate teams for quick resolution

·   Troubleshooting print issues

·   Server issues

·   DNS (Infoblox) issues
