Job Title: Software Engineer (Professional) Location: Manassas, VA Open Requirements: 2 Duration: Contract Scope of Work: We need a new team member in Operational Integration and Synthetic monitoring squad. The squad provides integration to multiple teams within Client and develops synthetic monitoring for core services offered by Client. We are an e2e DevOps team and uses agile scrum methodology Job requirements: 1. Design, develop, test, install and support programs/systems. Support projects proposals on the basis of cost/benefit justification interfacing with stakeholders across functional and geographical lines. 2. Meet with customers to understand needs and requirements and make recommendations on best practice systems solutions for small to medium size/complexity/risk projects. 3. Analyse detail systems factors: input/output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, alternative approaches, etc. 4. Validate alternative problem management proposals and make decisions on solutions. 5. Provide technical assistance to other colleagues and assist in resolving problems reported by less senior team members. 6. Provide technical guidance to customers and act as mentor to less senior team members. May give presentations to management and customers. 7. May prepare and complete systems documentation and operating procedures. 8. May lead design review meetings for small to medium size/complexity/risk projects. 9. May coordinate and monitor the activities, such as schedules and costs, of a small project team. 10. Evaluate and recommend technical feasibility and estimates of the proposed systems solutions. Additional Information: We would like to have a contractor with 5-10 years’ of full stack experience. He/She should be able to work independently while coordinating with other team members and departments. Should Conduct code, design and process reviews, including code sampling design reviews, code profiling, unit test reviews and process adherence for source code control and builds. Containers, docker, Kubernates, Cloud experience is plus and not mandatory.
