Position : Data Architect Location : Boca Raton, FL Duration : Long Term Interview : Phone and Skype *VISA : ANY* Data Architect Job Description The Data Architect (DA) will be responsible for enterprise-wide data lake and data model design that fits within the Business goals for an enterprise reports and data analytics system, to support the cross functional areas within the Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise organization which includes but not limited to Finance, Operations, and Engineering disciplines. The DA is responsible for developing the data model, design and validation of its use for scalability in large distributed multi-billion database records systems. The DA will be responsible for the analysis and validation of the architectural design to ensure data flow, accessibility, and management of the enterprise reporting system is working as designed. The DA will be responsible for the design and implementation of recovery and data load transformation strategies to maintain overall business continuity. Key responsibilities include (not limited to): · Develop and provide solution architecture design for data lake that will work with BI strategy. · Develop technical transition plan to add additional data to the data model and BI solution over multi-year phased initiatives. · Develop ETL/ELT approach for data integration and process design. · Develop, recommend and document best practices and data governance strategies on how to manage and maintain data throughout the lifecycle of the project. · Participate, contribute and adhere to the established department Change Management process to ensure proper oversight on proposed changes and updates of current architecture. · Collaborate with tolling system technology Subject Mater Experts’ strategy to ensure proper adaptability to new commercial technology, capturing business and cost related efficiencies. Skills and Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, software engineering, computer science or related field. · *5+ years relevant experience in enterprise transaction and financial processing database and application systems.
