Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective application programming solution. - May code new or modified programs, reuse existing code through the use of program development software alternatives and/or integrates purchased solutions. - Document, test, implement and provide on-going support for the applications. - Exercise considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. - Use deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. - Focus on providing thought leadership within Application Development but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business. - Be recognized internally as a subject matter expert.
