*Job: Kubernetes (K8) Architect* Duration: 6+ Months extendable Location: Remote VISA: No H1B Client is looking for a *Kubernetes (K8) Architect* who will lead the architecture, design and implementation of the Kubernetes platform for building and running microservices at a large scale. The K8 architect will be responsible for building the end to end observability for K8 and the services running in the K8 environment. The ideal candidate is expected to be an *experienced K8 professional *with hands-on experience who is ready to roll up their sleeves and build the K8 platform in-house or in public cloud. At the same time s/he is able to explain the architecture and implementation details to various stakeholders - from engineers using the platform to C-level executives in the organization. *The successful candidate will:* ● Create and maintain the architecture of Kubernetes implementation using Tanzu, Rancher or K8 native tools in public or private cloud. ● Maintain strong knowledge of the CNCF Kubernetes projects. ● Build and maintain configuration and set-up best practices and guidelines for K8. ● Design and implement solutions that allow K8 to scale at the infrastructure and Pod levels. ● Build observability in the platform using open source or commercially available tools that allows to have full control over the K8 environment and services running on it. ● Collaborate with stakeholders including the executive, product, other architects, and engineers in the teams to assist with kubernetes-related technical issues and support their services. ● Able to come up with the solution that can overcome the shortcomings of the open source or commercial tool(s) used in the platform build. ● Have strong networking and storage knowledge in K8. ● We believe in knowledge sharing.
