State Street IMS West is seeking an experienced Java developer to support the Trade Processing Systems Team in our Irvine, CA office The right individual will need to leverage their existing skills to quickly familiarize themselves with our existing environment and technology to deliver on time sensitive projects for a leading investment manager *Must Have:* - Excellent verbal and written communications are required. - Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer in enterprise software development. - Experience building user interfaces in ReactJS (Angular or similar JavaScript framework would be ok too). - Solid experience in full software development cycle - The individual will be expected to jump in on day one and began training with team members on specific processes/tasks - Candidate must provide own laptop (a soft token will be provided) - *Skills:* • The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and a minimum of *7 years* of experience as a Software Engineer in enterprise software development. • Experience with J2EE technologies *(JPA, EJB, MDB, MQ).* • Server-side Java skills with at least one J2EE application server (GlassFish, JBOSS or similar). • Experience building user interfaces in *ReactJS (Angular or similar JavaScript framework would be ok too).* • Core Java experience including multithreading, *JDBC and JMS.* • RDBMS SQL experience (Sybase & SQL Server preferred), well versed in freehand SQL and stored procedures, indexes and performance tuning. • *Unix and Unix* shell scripting. • Familiar with unit testing frameworks. • Solid experience in full software development cycle, including application architecture, technical specs, analysis, software development, testing large-scale software applications, assisting SQA teams with UAT testing, production support. • Exceptional interpersonal communication and strong team collaboration skills. *Plus:* - Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker or other CMS is a plus. - Previous State Street candidates tend to be front runners here!
