Duration: 6+ Months Contract



*Candidates submitted with 4G PCRF experience can go to 4 different hiring
managers for Remote positions.*

*We can fill 8 of these positions around North America, but need 3 for the
Policy team ASAP.  *



Here is the updated 100% Remote Policy Tier 2 Support Engineer position.

Candidates will *have to understand 4G PCRF Call flow and have a good
DevOps background*, so no Development requirement.

They will be doing some Shell or Bash scripting, as this is a heavy Unix
environments.

*Good candidates come from Cisco, Ericsson, Dell, HP, Verizon, T-Mobile,
AT&T, Sprint or other wireless Carriers*.

The Key is for the candidates to understand Policy and Call Flow.

They will also have to have a couple years of DevOps experience using
Kubernetes in a Docker/Containerization environment.

Below is a little info on 4G PCRF.

Any 5G PCF experience and knowledge is A+.



*What is the function of PCRF in LTE?*

The PCRF provides the QoS authorization (QoS class identifier [QCI] and bit
rates) that decides how a certain data flow will be treated in the PCEF and
ensures that this is in accordance with the user's subscription profile.
PCRF provides *service management and control of the 4G service*.


*Tier 2 Support Engineer*

*Job Description:*

Personnel to provide Policy Tier 2 support for the ongoing installation,
triaging, troubleshooting of 5G Policy.

The primary job for this role will be supporting AT&T policy team for the
on-going lab activities while interfacing with solution delivery, product
and operations’ teams.

Will require on call responsibilities.



*Requirements: *

•                     Strong experience in DevOps Tools (i.e., Docker,
Kubernetes, Helm, Rancher, Git, Nexus, Jenkins)

   - Experience deploying K8s on bare metal and VM’s
      - Experience in Kubernetes networking – knowledge on how to support
      the provision of HA load balanced endpoints for multiple protocols in a
      geo-redundant environment.

•                     Good understanding of 4G PCRF & 5G PCF. Familiarity
with other 5G NFs.

•                     Good understanding of telecom environment

•                     Experience with REST, Diameter, and other TCP/IP
protocols

•                     Experience with tcpdump, PCAP and troubleshooting

•                     Familiarity with Observability Tools (Elastic,
Logstash, Kibana, filebeat, metricbeat etc.)

•                     Familiarity with Jaeger tracing

•                     Experience with troubleshooting high-performance,
real-time and multi-threaded applications

•                     Strong Scripting experience in Linux/Unix environment

•                     Prior Experience with Lab or production support

•                     Familiarity with testing tools like JMeter

•                     Strong verbal and written communication skills

•                     Knowledge of distributed storage options like ceph,
longhorn, gluster etc , and provisioning these within a k8s envs is a plus

•                     Knowledge of security protocols TLS, IPSec, OIDC,
Oauth2
