*Role: Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Manager* *Location: Chicago, IL* *Looking For:* - Bachelor’s Degree in related field and minimum 5 years of relevant business experience required - Ability to manage and resolve conflicts - Deep understanding of IT Service Management processes, particularly those relating to Configuration Management - Ability to guide functional discussions and initiatives across departments - Ability to create short-term and long-term departmental plans for business, production and organizational *Priorities* - Applies business and management expertise to achieve financial and operational objectives - ITIL v3 Intermediate certification preferred - Asset Management Experience preferred *The CMDB Manager’s direct responsibilities include:* - Launching a ServiceNow-based CMDB - Aiding in the process by which discovery tools capture IT Systems and subsequently populate the database. - Ensuring processes and people are in place thereby allowing accurate information is recorded in the discovery process. - Owning the process by which relationships are created in the CMDB, such as key IT and business services and applications to servers and databases. - Promoting best practices through formal and informal education and training. - Liaising with other process owners and functional areas (eg.
