Location - Quincy, MA* *Big Data Engineer* 6-10 Years Big data engineer o 6-10 years of total experience o At least 3 years of experience designing and delivering data engineering solutions with Big data platform o Highly proficient at SQL development and Spark development o Experience handling large and complex sets of data from various sources and databases o Experience in migrating on-prem big data platform to Databrics or AWS storage and data pipeline development o Solid grasp of database engineering and design principles o Familiarity with CI/CD methods desired o Solid understanding of Unix ecosystem and shell scripting. *Kubernetes Platform Operations Engineer* 7-9 Years PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Deploys and maintains Kubernetes clusters including autoscaling, upgrades. Key member of Kubernetes platform release and deployments process. Responsible as incident response team for of Kubernetes cluster issues. Develop new helm charts for onboarding new type of application workloads to Kubernetes cluster. Familiar with application container DevOps process to deploy workloads on Kubernetes platform Identifies opportunities to improve and secure Kubernetes clusters by closely with engineering team. Develops and maintains monitoring and alerting of all production services. Builds metric-based dashboards for production services as needed. Develops and maintains Infrastructure as Code using Shell scripts, Ansible, Python. Work closely with Security team to maintain security in production environments. Responsible incident response and incident management in production environments. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: Programming - Deployment automation using Python, shell scripts and Ansible playbooks. OS: Good understanding on RHEL/Ubuntu OS and internal working Frameworks: Kubernetes, Docker, Management tools such as Rancher/Openshift Hashicorp Suite – Vault, Consul, and Packer Kubernetes Monitoring/Alerting toolset – Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Dynatrace Container Devops toolset: Maven, PyPI, Jenkins, Artifactory, CD tools Container Devops templating: Helm Chart Development, Java Maven POM, Pip Storage – NAS, S3, Kafka Security: RBAC, OAuth, Container Scanning tools WHAT’S IN IT FOR THE TEAM Plenty of learning opportunities by working with platform engineering team.
