*Job : Data Architect* *Location : Irvine, CA/ 10% travel required* *Type: Contract* *Description* Collaborate with company management and IT teams to develop a data strategy that meets corporate needs and industry requirements. • Create an inventory of the data necessary to build and implement a data architecture. Proficiency in data modeling and design, including SQL development and database administration Data mining and modeling tools Information management and data processing on multiple platforms Data visualization, data migration and data modeling Relational database management systems Database and cloud computing design, architectures and data lakes Data management and reporting technologies, predictive analytics, data visualization and unstructured data Data mining, visualization, and Machine Learning skills • Envision data pipelines and how data will flow through the enterprise. • Maintain a repository of all data architecture procedures and artifacts. • Evaluate current data management technologies and what additional tools are needed. • Determine upgrades and improvements to current data architectures. • Design, document, build and implement database architectures and applications. • Build data models for database structures, analytics and AI applications. • Develop and enforce database development standards. • Integrate new systems and functions like security, performance, scalability, reliability and data recovery. • Research new opportunities and create methods to acquire data. • Develop measures that ensure data accuracy, integrity and accessibility. • Continually monitor, refine and report data management system performance. Developing and implementing an overall organizational data strategy that is in line with business processes. The strategy includes data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems. Identifying data sources, both internal and external, and working out a plan for data management that is aligned with organizational data strategy. Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system. Managing end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture, and developing the application to finally testing and implementing the proposed solution. Planning and execution of DW solutions using technologies such as traditional ETL, Hadoop etc. In fact, the big data architect roles and responsibilities entail the complete life-cycle management of a DW Solution. Defining and managing the flow of data and dissemination of information within the organization. Integrating technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security. Conducting a continuous audit of data management system performance, refine whenever required, and report immediately any breach or loopholes to the stakeholders. Ability to implement common data management and reporting technologies, as well as the basics of columnar and NoSQL databases, data visualization, unstructured data, and predictive analytics. Besides, a data architect needs to coordinate and collaborate with users, system designers, and developers in their day-to-day functions.
