Job Title: Quantitative Engineer
Location: Reston, VA/Atlanta, GA
Duration: Long term

Role and Responsibilities:
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for business analytics,
testing and benchmarking production code and runs, as well as code
development.
As a quantitative engineer, the candidate is expected to
Implement and validate economic models
Create business analytics reports
Test and validation of production codes and runs.
Use leading edge tools such as R Library, python, combined with Fannie Mae
tools suite.
Work in an Agile, collaborative environment, partnering with other
engineers, scientist, consultants and database administrators of all
backgrounds and disciplines to bring analytical rigor to the production
operations.
Writing programs to cleanse and integrate data in an efficient and reusable
manner, and evaluating modeling results
Communicate with businesses to understand and define business needs,
providing analytical solutions.
Communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Proficient at least one of the statistical programming language such as R,
Python, Java, experience with Selenium is a plus.
Great problem solving skills, by taking a different approach to, debugging,
troubleshooting, and designing & implementing solutions to complex
technical issues.
Strong fundamentals in Mathematics and Computer Science (algorithms)
Strong technical and analytical abilities, a knack for driving impact and
growth, and some experience with programming/scripting in a language such
as Java or Python.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Proficient in R/Python
Basic understanding of Cloud (AWS, Sagemaker, Dominos, etc)
has relevant work experience with a proven track record. Master degree + 2
years experience minimum or Bachelors degree 5+ years experience in
computer science/
Finances/Economics/Engineering/mathematics/physics/statistics or related
field is preferred.
