In the example here: It shows:
PowerManager pm = (PowerManager) getSystemService (Context.POWER_SERVICE); PowerManager.WakeLock wl = pm.newWakeLock (PowerManager.SCREEN_DIM_WAKE_LOCK, "My Tag"); wl.acquire(); ..screen will stay on during this section.. wl.release(); Once the wake lock is received from the pm, can the reference to the pm be set to null? Is it needed any more? Or is there some reason to keep it?
