In my opnion, widget on Android is not truely widget (based on Web technology and compatible). Android widget just looks like widget, but developped by JAVA, and there is no running environment (like Google Gadgets, Nokia WRT, Apple Dashboard, etc) on it now.
I want to know if Google has any plan to transplant Google Gadgets on Android in recent period? Only if Android has Gadgets can widget run on Android.
