Thank you for the details.. these details help us in the short term. Also, I have seen similar abstraction provided by KUIX (j2me UI framework - http://www.kalmeo.org/projects/kuix/docs/tutorial_3 ). Though abstraction is very good, impl. on that fails because of lack of reflection api in j2me. I am sure Android would have a perfect impl. of the abstraction.
