As you are probably aware, this is not part of the public SDK API, so it's not supported for app developers, it may break with future versions, etc.
That being said, dsp_dtmf.c has a function with a decent amount of (entertainingly spelled) comments called "dsp_dtmf_goertzel_decode". Call that with your audio data.
