You could try to do tcpdump on your destination device or on a PC which is attached to your LAN network. In the second case both tcpdump or Wireshark might give you an idea what is happening. Only problem is that you might see a lot of traffic and you have to set some filters or grep for a certain pattern if you check the traffic on an system which is hooked up to the network.
