I received the same error, I am using Subversion in Eclipse to import the source code from the Open Data Kit. When I got the error, I tried Android Tools >> Fix Project Properties but there was no response. I closed Eclipse and opened it again. Then, when I tried Fix Project Properties, BAM! it worked.
