@Zeeshan Are you getting a black screen ? if yes that's probably due to a bug in the emulator (i think starting from the latest 1.5 sdk), you might as well have noticed that you can't run either the camera or the camcorder from the emulator, it's not a problem in your code it's problem in the emulator itself, to fix this please check the last post in this thread: http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/browse_thread/thread/60005bb7fff2e14f/eec39e24877d8b42?hl=en&lnk=gst&q=black+screen+camera+hanged_man#eec39e24877d8b42
