Yes, we know addJavascriptInterface, but it could be far more simpler with gears fonctionality in the WebView. For exemple I have a javascript application using extensively the html5 database (loading lot of data, updating etc...), and I need to distribute it in the android market, but it's reasonably not possible for now because of this limitation. And I know that I am not alone in this case...
