i am looking on this page -- http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/media-formats.html
and it says that HE-AACv1 (AAC+) and HE-AACv2 (enhanced AAC+) are "core" formats, but then under file type(s) supported, it says: "3GPP (.3gp) and MPEG-4 (.mp4, .m4a). No support for raw AAC (.aac)" I have a couple of questions: 1. can you stream content in these formats? (as opposed to play from a file) 2. what does "core" format mean? s/w support? h/w support? I'm talking about the two t-mobile (G1 and G2) phones out there today. for future phones, does it mean if there is no h/w support for the formats, it will be implemented in s/w? tia --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
