Are there plans to support WM-DRM files, such as those provided by subscription music services like Napster and Rhapsody? I watched the Google I/O talk about the media subsystem and it was mentioned that codecs could be installed manually. Firstly, is root required to do this? Secondly, are there any guides for how to do this and what sort of files are requires? The use of the Android platform is beginning to expand out of the smartphone world and into the world of MIDs and PMPs, and I think that the addition of DRM (AAC and WMA) would set it above it's competitors.
