That is a much more helpful message than "you mentioned a 3rd party
site" was. (I'm assuming 'what mess' is mine and the rest is aimed at
the OP.)

By 'mess' I was referring to the many bugs, glitches, problems, etc.
Given the current state of market, I don't think it was unreasonable
for the OP to ask if "top" meant "manually featured". (Or even
"randomly featured". Or was just flat broken.)

As far as the first response..
"You mentioned a 3rd party site." <-- bad answer. Not germane to the
actual question. Sounds like avoiding the topic, which lends authority
to the OP.
"Cyrket is not ours and the stats are wrong" <--- better answer. (And
frequently applicable to androlib, unfortunately.) Hard to defend
though, if the stats are correct. And you have to open it to spot
check first.
"Cyrket is not ours, can you reproduce with the official client" <--
almost as good, still implies it might be someone else's fault but now
you don't have to check it first. (And if they are wrong the OP finds
out himself, posts as much and goes back to doing something else. But
it'll backfire if they are correct because you'll be where you started
-and- cyrket will have gained some trust points for being publicly
accurate.)
"Market doesn't primarily use sales or $$ to determine rankings" <--
somewhat helpful and as a bonus actually relates to the original
question.
