Dear Genius~ I have 3 years experience for integration on S60 platform (Symbian). But my team is developing Android platform right now.
I had requested that my team should have integration part to manage build, release and continuous integration to my manager and boss. But they say "Why do we need integration part?" :p I explained about role of integration (e.g. http://www.harveynash.com/uk/microsites/symbianfoundation/2008/11/integration_engineer.asp) But they did not feel need it. So I and my coworker have set Git, Gerrit and Mantis to support integration. They have approve use it but they want us be a component developer. They said we can do developing android platform without integration part. They consider just MERGER to merge, build files and release it among my team's developers. (Polling developers to merge every week) What do you think about this situation? Let me know your opinion. I believe my team must have integration team to manage source code. Even if you don't this so, you can let me know why. p.s. Originally my team uses ClearCase to manage source code, so they consider use it to android project also. What do you think about this? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
