(That said... there is a bug that will be fixed after 1.6 where if you try to start an activity from the onCreate/onStart/onResume of the first activity in a task, and the next activity is using the dialog theme, then the next activity wouldn't be displayed. You can probably work around this by making a custom dialog theme that doesn't have any animations.)
