I would start by learning Java someplace other than Android. That's the equivalent of advising somebody to learn C# on a desktop instead of using .NET CF (or whatever Windows Mobile uses nowadays). I learned Java ages ago, so I haven't used any current books, but _Head First Java_ gets rave reviews. I maintain a list of all Android books here: http://wiki.andmob.org/books You'll see my name show up for a few of them. Needless to say, I like my books -- digital editions updated frequently, nice bang for the buck, etc. Reto Meier's _Professional Android Application Development_ and Abelson/Collins/Sen's _Unlocking Android_ are highly rated on Amazon. -- Mark Murphy (a Commons Guy) http://commonsware.com Android App Developer Books: http://commonsware.com/books.html --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
